AusCage fighter Tony Inkersole fought well on the weekend at Combat8:04 but unfortunately come unstuck in the second round by an uppercut from opponent Hugo Miller. He was strong in the first round with his game ending overhand left, but couldn't get it to finish the job early. Well done Tony and good luck with the broken nose!

Although there wasn't a win for AusCage fighter Joe "Massacre" Muir at CFC20 on February 24th, it was still a fantastic event to attend as some of the best MMA Fighters in the country showed how far Australia has come in the sport.
Light Heavyweight fighter Priscus "Tassie Devil" Fogagnolo came up against a fair opponent in Joe "Massacre" Muir, but managed to steal the top position and lay some down before the referee stepped in to call it less than 30 seconds before the end of round one. There were certainly some strong comments from the crowd regarding the stoppage of the fight being too early and following AusCage's talk with Joe after the fight, it was understood that he still had plenty of fight left in him.
There were some great moments during the night but nothing like the amazing roundhouse to the head of US fighter Eric Gerber from the southpaw Jai "The Toothfairy" Bradney, 80 seconds into the first round.
Regardless of Joe's result, a great main event to top of ...
Only two more sleeps until AusCage Fight Gear makes the trip to the Gold Coast to support Joe "Massacre" Muir as he takes on fellow Light Heavyweight contender Priscus "Tassie Devil" Fogagnolo. Although fight fans are backing the Tassie Devil, AusCage is looking forward to Massacre's return to the LH division. Either way this is bound to be a fight to remember and one that will change the lives of these fighters careers.
Keep an eye out for the results!
The team at AusCage Fight Gear would like to wish all fans, friends and families a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2011.
We would also like to acknowledge the Australia Defence Force personnel currently serving overseas, who this festive season will only be lucky enough to share a few moments online, the phone or on Skype with their loved ones to wish them all the best. We're all thinking of you and wish you all a safe return.
There is a lot ahead of AusCage as we head into 2012, from the development of new products, upgrading of our website, to the construction of new training grounds for the AusCage Fight Team located on the Central Coast, NSW. We hope that you continue to support us and keep wearing our gear wherever you are.
Season's greetings from AusCage Fight Gear!
On October 1st, Nitro 4 was held at the Logan Entertainment Centre in Queensland and saw Joe "Massacre" Muir come up against Felise "The FOB-Father" Leniu. This event once again gave us the opportunity to see Joe share his skills with the MMA community only to come undone in the second round against experienced heavy hitter, Felise "The FOB-Father" Leniu. Having gained over 10kg of pure muscle to become a Heavyweight contender, it was "The FOB-Father" that had it on him at 113kg. AusCage are now hoping that "Massacre" gets back in his groove ready to fight and win again as a Light-heavyweight MMA fighter in 2012.

Once again AusCage Fight Gear was represented by fighters in the Zen Bu Kan/Quiklec IBS State Titles held on Sunday, 28 August 2011 at the Niagara Park Sports Stadium on the Central Coast, NSW. Some of these fighters backed up from the last challenge and managed to walk away from the competition at the end of the day with a total of 7 trophies. These were won in a number of events adapted from Mixed Martial Arts; Viadal, Submission Grapling (No Gi), Quik Kick & Ground Fighting. Each with a unique set of rules developed to test different areas of the art and award points based on use of good technique rather than power.
AusCage Fight Gear would like to congratulate all those that competed and look forward to seeing how they go in the IBS National Championships to be held on Sunday, 13th November 2011, best of luck!
Another massive event for the forever impressive Joe "Massacre" Muir when he participated and won the Crowning of the Beast event held at the Sunset Hotel in Townsville on Saturday, 9 July 2011. The night consisted of 4 man tournaments in 3 weight classes with a huge $15,000 up for grabs for the winner of each weight division.
The 70kg and 77kg events had some great fights with fighters that you should keep your guard up for, but the 93kg Light Heavyweight division was the main event.
AusCage Fight Gear's Joe "Massacre" Muir faced up against Kym Robinson in the first round with Joe being victorious. In the other fight, Hale Vaa'sa put a well-placed knee into Cameron Murcutt's chin, winning the fight by KO. For the big finale, Joe took on Hale Vaa'sa in what can only been seen as a hunter chasing his prey. Straight off the tap of the gloves Joe owned the ring, consistently landing solid well-aimed punches on Hale before finishing the fight with Joe's signature right hand KO.
Beside producing MMA apparel, AusCage Fight Gear coaches and trains with a number of great guys on the Central Coast, NSW. Of those, we were lucky enough to have a couple of first time fighters compete in the Zen Bu Kan/Quiklec IBS East Coast Challenge held on Sunday, 22 May 2011. Although these fighters have not been in the game long, they still got in there and gave it a real go, which will give them a massive advantage when they return to training - experience.
Congratluations to all that competed. AusCage Fight Gear will be there again on Sunday, 28 August 2011.
